Atop the list of Propmech’s international projects is the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) 1500. This vessel has a spacious bridge, separate OPS room for surveillance and gun control; it has a flight deck, hangar and refueling area for helicopter size up to Sea King or NH90.

The OPV 1500 other operational capabilities are: wave compensated davits (up to sea state 5) for 2x 9.0 m interceptors / boarding boats (+35 kn speed); ore ship incl. store crane facilitie; below-deck spaces – multi-role or dedicated – for accommodation of survivors or embarked forces, storage of mission equipment and packaged goods; aft deck space for two containerized mission modules. Meeting room, briefing room, flight office and ship’s office.

ACCOMMODATION: Fully heated and air-conditioned accommodation for 46 crew in single, double and four berth bedrooms, mess rooms, recreation area, galley, laundry, gymnasium and sickbay with treatment and recovery area for 4 pers.

NAUTICAL AND COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT: Radio equipment according to GMDSS rules for Area A3 incl. Satcom C and F77, UHF and HF receivers. Nautical equipment incl. Integrated bridge system with X and S-band radars, ECDIS, Gyro, DGPS, Speedlog, Autopilot, Echo sounder, Navtex etc.

Under the Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE) Rural Electrification Program, Propmech, through its solar division, Green Heat, worked with AMORE (Alliance for Mindanao and multi-regional Renewable Energy development) and UNDP (United Nations Development Program) to bring solar power to far flung provinces. Towns in North Luzon, Apayao, Kalinga, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Agusan Del Sur, Lanao Del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Masbate, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, Zamboanga City, and North Cotabato were among the many areas that that received solar PV systems.

Propmech was selected through a bidding process and was able to offer the lowest price and showed that they have the capability and man power to design and install the systems.
